Rai had collaborated with Mudassar for romantic comedy "Happy Bhag Jayegi" which starred Abhay Deol, Diana Penty and Jimmy Shergil in the lead roles.
"My next is a passionate a love story which will be with Anand sir and Eros International. It is set in today's time but with the idea of old passionate love. No two people can be in love peacefully, so the love story will have its own twists and turns," Mudassar told PTI.
"We are not launching any newcomers for the film. All I can say is the film will have an interesting cast, fun cast," he said without divulging any details.
The film goes to floors this year but the makers are yet to zero in on the release date.
Mudassar said he plans to come up with the sequel of "Happy Bhaag Jayegi" but not immediately.
