Tigers of Assam (MULTA) linkman was apprehended today at Barbilla village in Assam's Barpeta district by a joint army and police team, defence sources said. (PRO)
Based on information about the presence of MULTA linkman with war like stores in the area, troops under the aegis of Red Horn Division and Assam police launched a joint operation to apprehend him, the sources said.
The linkman identified as Mizanur Rahman (24) was found in illegal possession of one explosive, suspected to be an improvised explosive devise (IED) weighing about three Kg along with 20 meters of wire, they said.
