Playing at the award-winning Kalhaar Blues and Greens Golf Course Gauri, playing off a handicap of 10, shot a gross score of 80 while Ronil, playing off a handicap of 8, fired 82 to secure the slots in the U-21 girls and U-18 boys categories respectively yesterday, a media release said.
Joining the two Mumbaikars was Chandigarh's Manya Saini, who secured the lowest gross score on the day of 79, playing off a 9 handicap to secure her a spot in the U-16 girls category.
Overall five players from the regional qualifiers
Gauri, Manya, Dhruv Suri (U-21 boys), Ronil and Abhiraj Chauhan (U-16 boys) have now secured spots in the India final.
The regional qualifier in Ahmedabad was the first of seven qualifier events that will culminate in the final in January, the release added.
