Mushirul Hasan injured in accident

Leading academician and former vice chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia University, Mushirul Hasan, today met with an accident on his way to Mewat from Delhi and was being operated for head injuries at a hospital.
67-year-old Hasan met with the accident at around 11.30 this morning when he was going to Mewat along with two others in a car.
"There was a head-on collision with a dumper and he sustained head injuries. He was rushed to Apollo hospital and is undergoing surgery," said one his close associates.
"A team of neurosurgeons are operating on him. He has sustained head injury following an accident," said a doctor from Apollo.
Professor Hasan is a noted historian and has written extensively on the Partition of India, on communalism, and on the histories of Islam in South-Asia.
He served as the vice-chancellor of JMI University between 2004-2009.
