Muzaffarnagar riots case: 2 absconders arrested

Police today arrested two absconders who are accused of gangraping a woman during last year communal riots at Lank village in the district.
Accused Kuldeep and Sikander were later produced in court, where the Duty Magistrate sent them to judicial custody in the case here.
One accused Maheshvir has already been arrested in the case.
Both the accused were absconding and court had initiated attachment proceedings against them.
Police had registered a case against Kuldeep, Sikander and Mahesh Vir for gangraping a woman during communal riots, on the direction of the state government.
The victim had approached the government after local police refused to register her case against the accused.
