The 46-year-old star has been kept busy in recent months shooting her TV show "Shades of Blue" and rehearsing for her Las Vegas residency, as well as looking after her seven-year-old twins Max and Emme, reported Hollywood Life.
And she admits balancing thinks can often be "overwhelming".
"I take it step by step and day by day and everyone in my life knows the commitments I have - it was super overwhelming!
"Before getting to the American Music Awards in November last year, and after we created the show, and after we filmed 'Shades of Blue', and then filming Idol on the weekends ... I was like, 'Maybe this is the first time I bit off more than I could chew.' But you know what, I take it day by day and I have an incredible support system," Lopez said.
