Its mission is to support agribusiness and technology ventures through capacity building and facilitating access to knowledge and resources.
To promote and spread awareness about a-IDEA in Maharashtra, NAARM has announced road-shows in Kolkata for the startup ecosystem in Food and Agri business which is witnessing consistent growth in last few years, he said.
"The road show in Kolkata has helped us to connect with aspiring start-ups, entrepreneurs, students and global eco system players to be part of this exciting journey.
The initiative has opened up with interesting sessions from industry speakers, agri-Business firms, also successful start-ups speaking about their journey so we are hopeful that we get good number of applications from aspiring start-ups to scale from Kolkata," he said.
To tap startups based in and around Kolkata, NAARM targeted to reach out to 10 agriculture startups.
Through the road shows NAARM aimed to reach out to agri-startups in the local ecosystems with a series of aspiring talks and sensitize them about AGRI UDAAN with the help of ecosystem partners, he added.
