The film was adjudged Best Production Design, Best Konkani Film and received Special Mention for its female lead Palomi Ghosh at the awards, announced yesterday.
The musical film, debutante director Bardroy Barrett, said was made possible with contribution of 100 producers who raised finances.
"It was not by design that we took hundred producers. Several family members, friends and well wishers spread across the country contributed in their own capacity to produce this film," Barretto, told PTI after his film won the prestigious awards.
Released in December last year, the film is a fictional account of the yesteryear musicians of Goa and depicts the era of '60s and '70s when the state was liberated from 450 years of Portuguese rule.
"You can say the movie spreads over '60s to '90s, but majority of the part spans till 70s," he said.
Starring Vijay Maurya and Ghosh, the film was shot over two years, beginning from 2012. Based on the musicians' life, many considered the film as a real-life account of Goa's nightingale Lorna and legendary singer Chris Perry.
"That's not true. It is a fictional account of the musicians. But, we have included songs of Lorna and Chris Perry in it," he said.
He said music was the USP of the film but it has something for everyone in it.
