Nagaland governor designate arrives in Kohima

Governor designate Ashwani Kumar arrived in Nagaland today with his spouse.
Kumar, a former CBI director and DGP Himachal Pradesh, will take oath of office and secrecy as the 17th Governor of Nagaland in the Raj Bhavan here at 1100hrs tomorrow.
Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel, will administer the oath.
Ashwani Kumar succeeds Nikhil Kumar, who left for Kerala to take up a gubernatorial assignment.
The governor designate was welcomed by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio along with his council of ministers, chief secretary Alemtemshi Jamir, director general of police B Kezo and a host of senior bureaucrats.
