Nagpur Metro is in the process of acquiring the digital platform which uses 5D Building Information Management (BIM) tools to integrate the entire project components even before the actual on-site execution begins.
The basic objective is to stick to timelines, focus on costs and timely execution as also maintain regular checks and balances, Sumant Deulkar, Joint General Manager of the Metro, said here today.
This will be a first for the country where such an advanced management tool will be used for project implementation.
Managing Director Brijesh Dixit recently visited IIT-B to thrash out details.
The consultancy includes reviewing bid document, assessment of potential service providers, assistance in evaluation of bids and conduct of negotiations and finalisation of the contract to provide the digital platform, Deulkar added.
