Tight security has been provided to Naidu, who is on a two-day visit to the city since last evening following protests by various organisations over arrest of 32 suspected woodcutters from Tamil Nadu by Andhra Pradesh Police on Friday and Palar dam issue, among other things.
Naidu, who came last evening here to attend a marriage scheduled this afternoon, has been provided tight security, police said.
Police said last evening, workers belonging to Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhakam staged a black flag demonstration, protesting Andhra Pradesh reported moves to build a dam across Palar, which, they said, would affect farmers in Tamil Nadu
Police were also maintaining vigil on the road leading to the marriage hall from the hotel.
Even mediapersons were not allowed to go near Naidu with security personnel forming a cordon around him while he was emerging from the marriage hall.
