Naik suspends UP technical varsity registrar for corruption
Press Trust of India Lucknow Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today suspended the registrar of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University here on the charges of financial irregularity and corruption and ordered investigation against him.
U S Tomar, registrar of the Kalam varsity (formerly UP Technical University), has been suspended by the Governor, a Raj Bhawan release issued here said.
The Governor also formed a probe committee to investigate charges of corruption and financial irregularity against Tomar, it said.
The probe committee is headed by Justice (retired) S K Tripathi, and Vice Chancellor of Ram Manohar Lohia Law University Gurdip Singh Bahari and retired IAS officer Sarvesh Chandra Mishra are its member, the release added.
