Najeeb Jung's book released

A book penned by Lt Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung, written while he was Vice Chancellor of Jamia Milia Islamia, was released today.
Professor Khalid Mehmood of the Department of Urdu, released the book "The Sting of a Bee" at a function held at Jamia Millia Islamia, an official statement said.
The book, which contains 50 essays penned by Jung, deals with a number of burning issues of the day: from women's Education, Kashmir, India-Pakistan relations and secularism.
Speaking on the occasion, the Lt Governor thanked Professor Mehmood and also the teachers, staff members and students of the university and asked them to work hard in raising the varsity's profile.

Jung also reminded them of the role that Jamia plays in providing education to underprivileged and stressed on bringing more girl students from Muslim families into the fold of education, it said.
