NAMEXPO concludes

India's first ever Naval and Maritime
Exposition and Conference, NAMEXPO 2013 concluded today with a MARCOS demonstration and visits to Naval ships, INS Satpura, INS Kabra and INS Sudarshini.
All these ships are indigenously made by Indian shipyards.
Paul Antony, Chairman and Managing Director, Cochin Port Trust was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The five-day NAMEXPO witnessed participation from 50 domestic and international exhibitors, 2000 business visitors, 15 official delegations, 6500 general visitors.
Besides Indian Naval and Coast Guard officers and personnel, Naval officers from more than 25 countries also visited the Exposition and interacted with exhibitors and participants.
Models of ships, submarines, underwater unmanned vehicle, helicopters, sea-planes, entire range of naval and maritime subsystems, components, radars, different types of missiles, devices for ocean exploration, surveillance and reconnaissance solutions, sonars and torpedoes were some of the exhibits at the event, a press release said here today.
NAMEXPO was organised by CII in association with Indian Navy, Government of Kerala, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Shipping, and Ministry of Earth Sciences.
