Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi launched a scathing attack on Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi here today, saying that he does not understand the difference between onion and pizza or brinjal and burger, but tries to become a leader of farmers.
"Rahul, who can't understand the difference between onion and pizza or brinjal and burger, is trying to become the leader of farmers. He won't succeed," Naqvi told a media management workshop organised for Madhya Pradesh BJP's state spokespersons.
Praising the BJP-led NDA government's performance, the Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs said it is for the first time in the country that a government has risen above politics to focus on development.
"India's image has grown taller in the world under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. The government is often accused, but your duty is to hit back at the opposition with solid facts and reach out to the media as well as the public," he told BJP spokespersons.
He said that the NDA government has launched a number of important schemes for public welfare.
"It is your duty to ensure that people reap benefits of these schemes," he said.
He asked BJP's media managers not to get affected by the opposition's allegations as they have become devoid of issues.
