Narcotics worth Rs 20 cr smuggled from Pakistan seized

Over four kilogramme narcotics worth Rs 20 crore in the street market was seized by BSF troops today near Narli border outpost here.
The heroin was pushed into Indian territory through India-Pakistan border, BSF said in a statement.
Tonight, at around 0130 hrs, BSF personnel at Narli border outpost in Amritsar Sector heard some suspicious noise and rushed to the spot.
The troops found four packets of heroin near the border fence, the release said.
However, the person who threw the consignment from the other side of the border managed to escape taking advantage of darkness.
