Narendra Modi today said a wish of the media for a 'muqabla' between him and Rahul Gandhi addressing poll meetings in the same constituency on the same day was fulfilled in Assam today and it should judge in whose favour the people were.
"Friends from the media have been waiting for the last two months hoping 'Modiji aur Rahulji ka kahin muqabla ho jai' (Modi and Rahul may confront each other somewhere) and their wish has been fulfilled in Nowgong today," Modi told an election meeting here.
"I appeal to the unbiased media to take the opportunity and judge for themselves the emotional wavelength of the people here and in whose favour the wave is," he said.
"Rahul Gandhi came and repeated the same thing that he had said during his earlier rallies. Both mother and son deliver the same speech again and again. I know they do not have enough people to do the job but if they want any help in writing speeches, they can approach me or anybody from the party," Modi said.
"In a democracy, the party in power is responsible to people. They must go to people and give an account of the work done by them for the people but the Congress is an arrogant party. They do not consider it necessary to answer to the people," he said.
