Nashik jail prisoner hurt in attack by inmate

A 38-year-old prisoner lodged at Nashik Road Central Jail here sustained injury on his head after he was allegedly hit with a tile by another inmate today, police said.
Jail Superintendent Ramesh Kamble said that Sachin Chavre (35) attacked Joseph Athawale without any provocation.
"Athawale was rushed to civil hospital and shifted back to jail after medical treatment," he said.
Kamble said both the inmates are presently taking treatment for some psychological ailment in jail's hospital.
A case has been registered by Nashik Road police station.
