"Prem Chand Gupta took his winner's certificate today while Parimal Nathwani will possibly take it tomorrow," Secretary of the Assembly Secretariat and Returning Officer for the RS election Sushil Kumar Singh told PTI here.
The announcement was made after receiving a directive from the Election Commission of India on the last day of the withdrawal today, he added.
Nathwani and Gupta were the only candidates who had filed nominations for the two seats, making the February 7 elections inconsequential.
Gupta got the backing of all the UPA partners -- Congress, JMM and RJD while Nathwani got the support of BJP, AJSU party and others, enabling them to file their nomination on January 28.
