President of Parishad Dr Dawood Dalvi said in a press conference here today that around 100 research papers would be presented during the conference and experts would deliberate on ways and means to promote the Konkan culture.
He said scholars from Maharashtra, Goa and Varanasi would present their research papers.
The Life Time Achievement award by the Parishad this year would be conferred on historian and research scholar Dr Ravindra Ramdas.
Co-ordinator of the programme, Dr Vijay Kulkarni said that a special lecture by former curator of Prince of Wales Museum Dr Sadashiv Gorkshakar will also be held during the two-day programme.
