School Wiki, a critical component of ICT Content Development and dissemination in the Hi-Tech school programme being implemented in the state, was one of the 10 finalists for the award from over 162 shortlisted entries pan India, a press release said here today.
It was launched by IT@School in 2009, to foster a culture of collaborative learning in Kerala schools. It now has over one lakh pages, a total of 24,227 users, details of 15,000 schools.
Schools are given their exclusive pages in School Wiki, where they could upload details such as their infrastructure data, renowned alumni, school websites, map, blogs, class magazines, supporting images and videos.
Schools which maintain their pages in School Wiki in the best manner will be given awards in next month, Executive Director IT@School Project K Anvar Sadath said. State Education Minister Prof S Ravindranath congratulated schools who have contributed for this recognition.
The School wiki had earlier bagged international recognition through "Stockhlam Challenge 2009" and also bagged State e-Governance Award in 2010.
