Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today congratulated stone artist Raghunath Mohapatra and classical danseuse Sonal Mansingh for being nominated to the Rajya Sabha.
Patnaik expressed gratitude to President Ram Nath Kovind for nominating these two distinguished personalities to the upper house of Parliament, said an official.
The chief minister said that Mohapatra and Mansingh had made immense contribution in promotion of Odishi art and culture.
While Mohapatra is a globally renowned authority on stone carving, Mansingh is an exponent of classical dance and has been performing Odissi as well as Bharatnatyam.
