"Armed Naxals last nightstormed three locations simultaneously on the Bhopalpatnam-Bhadrakali-Tarlaguda road, which then enters the Telangana state, and torched 37 construction vehicles and machines," Bijapur SP KL Dhruv told PTI.
After reaching the construction sites in areas falling under the Bhopalpatnam, Bhadrakali and Tarlaguda police station limits, the ultras threatened the labourers there and asked them to leave the place. The Maoists then set the vehicles and machines afire and fled into the forests, said Dhruv.
Security personnel rushed to the attack sites following information from the labourers and a combing operation was launched to nab the ultras, the SP added.
