NC-Cong govt incompetent and scandalous: PDP

Criticising the ruling NC-Congress government in Jammu and Kashmir for doing nothing to solve the problems of the people, opposition PDP today said it has earned the dubious distinction of being incompetent and scandalous.
Addressing a series of public meetings in Darhal assembly segment in Rajouri district, PDP leader Yash Pal Sharma said the state government has become a symbol of repression, corruption and misrule.
Given the "alarming number of scams" tumbling out of the its cupboard, the present dispensation has earned the dubious distinction of being not only incompetent but a scandalous government as well, he said.
Referring to the hardship faced by people in the state, Sharma, who is the PDP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, said Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his ministers are busy playing to the galleries through "contrived melodramatics and rhetorical outbursts".

The NC-Congress regime had, during the last five years, done nothing to solve the problems of the people, he observed.
Speaking on the occasion, Darhal MLA, Choudhary Zulfikar said the government has been fooling the people of Rajouri-Poonch every time in the name of employment and development, and had made them angry due to its anti-people policies.
