Commodity bourse NCDEX today said it has temporarily suspended trading after a minor fire broke out in the basement of its headquarters at the Akruti Corporate Park on Kanjur Marg here.
The trading on the NCDEX, the second largest commodity bourse, was halted at 12.19 hours after due intimation, it said.
"There is minor fire at the building of NCDEX premises... The exchange management has decided to shutdown trading as safety measures till further intimation," NCDEX said in a statement.
The fire erupted in the basement of Akruti Corporate Park, where NCDEX headquarters is located on the first floor.
"An evacuation was conducted... All employees are safe," the exchange added.
