"It is my personal view that sex trade should be legalised so that the affected women get social benefits especially in regard to education, health and finance. But then the Commission's final recommendations are still being finalised," she said, addressing the media at the Indian Women's Press Corps (IWPC) here.
"There is a thin line between legalisation and decriminalisation of sex trade," she said, adding that a meeting to finalise the recommendations will take place on November 20.
Had the media remained silent over the issue it would have been ignored, she added.
