BJP today claimed that the alliance led by it is increasing its fold and a total of 28 political parties from across the country are now part of NDA, while Congress and its allies are trying their best to stop Narendra Modi from coming to power.
"The common minimum programme and common agenda of Congress and its allies is to stop BJP and Modi from coming to power. They are ready to go to any extent for this," BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said.
Naqvi said prominent Congress leaders are "lying before the nation and giving misguided statements so as to spread a web of illusion."
"That is why they are worried and are spreading the secularism-communalism formula, which people are not accepting," he said.
Naqvi said going by the response received from the public, the NDA will come to power at the Centre with more than 350 seats and will create a strong and stable government that would provide good governance.
The BJP leader said the growing public support to NDA has established that the leadership of Modi is being accepted. "It is believed nationwide that before elections, the Congress-led coalition is sinking down like Congress and BJP-led NDA is growing stronger."
He said that regional concerns of BJP are clear from south to north-east and given its progressive aspect a large number of important political parties have decided to become a part of BJP-led alliance.
Naqvi said BJP and its allies will be contesting on all 543 seats and all top leaders of NDA will be campaigning all over the country.
