Inaugurating the 53rd Foundation Day celebrations of NCERT here, the Minister said that diversity of children in a classroom means huge responsibility on teachers and institutions.
Prasada also highlighted the need to properly harness all new technological advancements for meeting the challenges of inclusion of all, especially the rural children, in education.
Inclusion of All in Education, irrespective of barriers of disability, gender, or linguistic or socio-economic background, was the theme of the celebrations.
NCERT also organised various programmes including exhibitions, film screenings, workshops, street plays on various issues related to inclusion and 'exclusion'.
The programmes highlighted that inclusion does not mean inclusion of only children with special needs but also children who are marginalised because of various socio-economic reasons.
