The incident came to light last night when accused, identified as Tasleem (40), tried to molest the victim, but she somehow managed to escape and informed her parents who later registered complaint against him.
Police have arrested Tasleem and booked him under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
According to police, girl alleged in her complaint that she was allegedly raped by Tasleem on different occasions whenever he found her alone.
"After finding victim alone, he would take her to his room and commit crime. Tasleem also threatened her of dire consequence if she revealed her ordeal to anyone," said a senior police officer.
