"We cannot believe that the neighbouring country would impose any embargo on Nepal," Khanal said, and added all Nepalis would unitedly face the challenge if such a situation arises.
Khanal, however, said that the agitating parties could not have stoped carrier trucks and fuel tankers on the Indian side and that the current embargo like situation came due to weaknesses on the part of Indian authorities.
On the ongoing protests staged by the agitating Madhes based parties along the Nepal-India border, Khanal said such activities should not be allowed as per the international laws.
He asked the Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae to play a role in ending the blockade and creating an environment for smooth supply of goods from India to Nepal.
