According to police, Pragya Thapa, 15, of Bharaul village of Sunsari district, and a strong fan of the Brazilian team, hanged herself after her favourite team was beaten by Germany 7-1 in the semi-final match at the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
The tenth grader in her school, was upset after the Brazil's defeat, said police quoting her family.
"She was disturbed and frustrated to see her favorite team going down in the semifinal match against Germany," Deputy Superintendent of Police Sudip Raj Bhandari said quoting her family members.
