Nepalese student held for sexually exploiting classmate

A Nepalese youth studying in a city-based engineering college has been arrested for allegedly sexually exploiting his female classmate, police said Thursday.

The student befriended and allegedly sexually exploited the victim repeatedly by blackmailing her, they said.

Unable to bear the harassment and blackmailing, she lodged a complaint, Inspector P Gurava Reddy said.

He was arrested and a case registered under various IPC sections including 376 (rape) and also under the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, police said.
