Nepalese youth arrested, heroin recovered

A Nepalese youth was arrested after heroin worth Rs eight lakh was allegedly found in his possession from Sonauli area on the Indo-Nepal border by Sashtra Seema Bal.
Praveen Giri, 23, a native of Pyuthan district of Nepal, was arrested last night with 40 grams of heroin while on his way to Nepal from India, SSB Commandant Shiv Dayal said today.
"He has been booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Further investigation is underway", he added.
