New CJ of Meghalaya to be sworn in on Feb 24

Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, a senior judge of the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court, will be sworn in as Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court on Wednesday.
Governor V Shanmuganathan will administer the oath of office to Justice Maheshwari at 10 AM at the Raj Bhavan here, officials said today.
Chief Justice Uma Nath Singh of the court retired on January 14 last.
Since then the lone judge at the High Court, Justice S R Sen has been discharging as the Acting Chief Justice.
