U Subbarao today assumed charge as Divisional Railway Manager of Salem Division, Southern Railway.
According to an official release, Rao, who belongs to the Indian Railway Mechanical Engineering Service (IRSME), is the sixth incumbent to the post of DRM for the division, that was formed in 2007.
He took charge from Hari Shankar Verma at the divisional headquarters.
Before assuming charge as DRM, Subbarao was functioning as Chief Mechanical Engineer (Planning), South Central Railway, Secunderabad, the release said.
He had also worked as Chief Workshop Manager, Coaching Workshop, Mysuru, in South Western Railway and Chief Workshop Engineer at the Rail Wheel Factory, Bengaluru.
