New General Manager for ER, SER and Metro Railways

Two zonal railways based in the city, Eastern and South Eastern, have got their new general managers following the retirement of the incumbent, while the Metro Railway here also received its new boss.
While Rajesh Kumar Singh took over the charge of general manager, Eastern Railway (ER), Radhey Shyam is the new head of South Eastern Railway (SER), railway sources said here today.
Radhey Shyam, who was working as the General Manager of Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) with additional charge of GM Metro Railway, took charge of SER yesterday, a SER spokesman said.
"Radhey Shyam, who has taken over the new responsibility, replaced G C Agarwal, the GM, Eastern Railway, who was holding the additional charge of GM, SER and retired yesterday," SER CPRO Soumitra Mazumdar told PTI.
Radhey Shyam belongs to the Indian Railway Service of Civil Engineers (IRSE) of 1976 Batch. He is known for his specialisation in general management in Railways, track maintenance and bridge design and construction, he said.
He was working as General Manager (Construction), Northeast Frontier Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati, before taking over his new charge.
Rajesh Kumar Singh, Eastern Railway's new general manager, graduated from IIT Roorkee and joined the Indian Railway service of Electrical Engineer (IRSEE of 1976 batch), ER CPRO R N Mahapatra said.
Singh has also been Deputy Railway Advisor, Embassy of India, Germany and Deputy Railway Advisor, High Commission of India, London.
Rajeev Bhargava, has taken over as GM Metro Railway.
