After assuming charge, he cautioned that strict action would be taken against those found indulging in corruption and said emphasis would be laid on providing all facilities to police personnel to boost their morale.
Highlighting the thrust areas, the Director General of Police said emphasis will be laid on improving the law and order situation, tightening the noose on criminals, improving the traffic management system and providing a safe environment to women and persons belonging to weaker sections.
He said shortage of resources for modernisation of the police force would be met and efforts would be made to fill vacant posts in the department by completing the ongoing recruitment process and initiating new recruitment process at the earliest.
