Steel Plant (RSP) achieved the highest ever slab rolling of 3680 tonnes for any single day yesterday.
"The New Plate Mill rolled slabs weighing 3680 tonnes yesterday which is the highest ever for any single day," RSP said in a statement today.
The earlier best was of 3630 tonnes of slab rolling recorded on August 18, 2017, it said.
Congratulating the Mill collective for the achievment, RSP's CEO Ashwini Kumar asked them to surpass the monthly rated capacity of the mill - about 77000 tonnes - and aim at rolling 80000 tonnes of plates per month.
The CEO, who interacted with the employees of the mill said the New Plate Mill has to play a major role in the turnaround and profitability of RSP.
