Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley shared the stage on Saturday, on the occasion of the launch of the Bilva Indian School, the newest entrant in Dubai's academic horizon.
The School, spanning over 2,40,000 square feet, with a capacity to cater to more than 3,000 students, opened its state-of-the-art campus, it was announced yesterday.
The BIS campus is in a close proximity to the neighbouring residential communities as well as the emirates of Sharjah and Ajman.
Apart from the two political heavyweights, Dr Prabhakar Kore, MP and patron of the School was also present at the event.
"We are proud to announce opening of the new campus in the heart of Dubai. Bilva Indian School will provide world-class education having a strong focus on Indian culture and values.
Our rich heritage helps us to have the edge of a world-class academic pedagogy rooted in the Indian culture," Kore, said.
Jagdish K Jeswani, Director of BIS, said that contributing to the UAE's urgent need for quality schools, the school will facilitate excellence in education while keeping consistency in academic standards of global quality.
"The school offers world-class facilities in a technology- enabled environment, and excellent teacher-student ratio giving personalised attention," Jeswani said.
