"Known for her simplicity and humble nature, Sumitra Mahajan is one of the most honest politicians in the country," TDP said in a statement.
"Under the leadership of a woman who never lost an election and who has such a clean record, the House will run in the direction of fulfilling the aspirations of the people," it said.
Mahajan has never lost a Lok Sabha election since being elected from Indore for the first time in 1989. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, she won by a margin of 4.67 lakh votes, highest in Madhya Pradesh.
