Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John Watson (Martin Freeman) get reacquainted in the new teaser for the "Sherlock" holiday special, reported Aceshowbiz.
A mutual friend introduces the two to each other while the title character is examining what looks like a mummy in a dim-lit room.
Holmes tests Watson's reflexes and is satisfied with them.
Watson, meanwhile, lets Holmes know his skills by saying, "I'm an army doctor which means I can break every bone in your body while naming them."
The special will premiere January 1, 2016 in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
Set in 19th century London, the plot details are still scarce, but executive producer Steven Moffat once said "Ghost stories work better in a Victorian setting. Other than that it's remarkably similar."
Amanda Abbington, Rupert Graves and Una Stubbs return as Mary Morstan, Inspector Lestrade and Mrs Hudson respectively.
