An Indo-Malaysian joint venture, first of its kind institute in the private sector in the Country, between GTTI and Welding Institute Malayasia (WIM), is catering to all the welding process with advanced technology equipment, GTTI Director, G D Rajkumar, said at the launch today.
While the technical support was provided by WIM, the curriculum and syllabus have been jointly designed by Geedee and WIM, based on their over four decades experience in the manufacturing sector, he said.
WIM had invested about Rs one crore on equipment and marketing and was also keen to place certified technicians, Jim Kerins, Regional General Manager, Asia Pacific, Welding Institute (UK), said.
The Institute would impart training in industry oriented welding program such as structural welding, art welding, for the automobile industry, shipping, profile cutting and also contemplating robot welding,' he said.
