Poonam Tiriya (19), who works in a shop in Burmamines here, was on her way to work when the man came from behind and stabbed her six times, police said.
Poonam, who got married to one Srikant Mazumdar in March last, was admitted to the M G M hospital.
According to the victim, the accused had one-sided feelings for her and has been harassing the couple ever since they got married.
