Next 'X-men' film to miss Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen
Press Trust of India Los Angeles Actor Patrick Stewart has said he and Ian McKellen will not return for the sequel to their 2014 hit 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'.
Stewart played Professor X and McKellen starred as Magneto in the movie but the eighth film of the series does not have space for their roles, reported Variety.
'X-Men: Apocalypse' will reportedly focus on characters of James McAvoy (young professor X), Michael Fassbinder (young Magneto) and Jennifer Lawrence.
"I was learning quite a lot more about it last night, and it is going to be looking very much at the earlier lives of all our characters. And so I don't think we'll be making an appearance. Nor Sir Ian McKellen, either," Stewart said.
The Bryan Singer-directed film will hit theatres on May 27, 2016 with Oscar Isaac in the role of the main antagonist.
