NGO offers cash reward to child prodigy Sushma

Sushma Verma, daughter of a labourer who entered into record books as the youngest Indian to clear high school exam at 7, and recently joined M.Sc programme at Lucknow University at the age of 13, will receive a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh from an NGO.
Bindeshwar Pathak, founder of Sulabh International, said his organisation will also provide all possible assistance to Sushma to help her persue higher studies.
Sushma is the daughter of Tej Bahadur Verma, a daily wage labourer. Her name figures in the Limca Books of Records as the youngest Indian to pass the Class X exam at the age of 7.

The girl, now 13, recently joined Lucknow University to persue her M.Sc in biotechnology.
"Apart from cash reward, we are also committed to pay her fees and other expenses for the courses she persues in future," Pathak said in a release issued by Sulabh International.
