Nickel and tin firm up on good demand

Nickel, tin, zinc and brass firmed up at non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid good demand from alloy industries.
While, select copper and lead slipped due to lower offtake from consuming industries.
Nickel gained by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 745 from thursday's close Rs 725 and tin moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 1,328 as against Rs 1,325 yesterday.
Zinc and brass utensils scrap edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 178 and Rs 269 as against Rs 176 and Rs 267 previously.
Brass sheet cuttings inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 274.
However, copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cuttings and lead softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 375, Rs 337, Rs 403, Rs 354 and Rs 134 respectively.
