In overseas markets, Shanghai copper slipped to its lowest level in more than three weeks in early trade, tracking last week's losses in London after the Federal Reserve sent a strong signal that it would raise interest rates this year, boosting the dollar.
Nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 980 from last weekend's level of Rs 985.
However, brass utensils scrap and lead inched-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 316 and Rs 133, respectively.
