Nickel, zinc surge on rising demand

Nickel, zinc and select copper prices surged further at non-ferrous metal market here today no stockists buying amid rising demand from industrial users.
While tin dropped further owing to subdued offtake from consuming industries.
Nickel jumped by 14 per kg to Rs 697 from Monday's closing level of Rs 683.
Zinc rose by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 203 from Rs 195.
Copper cable scrap,copper scrap heavy, copper armiture and copper wire bar edged-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 378, Rs 372, Rs 367 and Rs 406, respectively.
However, tin fell by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 1,210 as against Rs 1,218 previously.
