Nifty ends below 10,750, down 31 pts

The NSE Nifty slipped by 30.95 points on fresh bouts of selling mainly in PSU banks, metal, infra and pharma counters amid lingering concerns over the ongoing trade war between the US and China.
Stocks in Europe and Asia declined as global markets were dominated by US-China trade war fears as China reiterates to retaliate against the United States.
Meanwhile, back home RBI's June meeting minutes gave no indication of future rate action, citing uncertainties around oil and food prices.
Weak rupee, sustained capital outflows from Indian equities loomed over the trading sentiment.
However, buying index heavyweights like IOC, Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, BPCL helped the market to cap larger losses.
The Nifty 50 index slipped 30.95 points, or 0.29 per cent, to close at 10,741.10. It hovered between 10,809.60 and 10,725.90 during the session.
It saw an intra-day movement of about 83.70 points.
Sector-wise, private PSU bank dipped by 2 per cent, metal 1.08 per cent, infra 1 per cent, pharma 1 per cent, auto 0.94 per cent, realty 0.79 per cent, FMCG 0.66 per cent, IT 0.28 per cent, bank 0.23 per cent, private bank 0.07 per cent and media 0.04 per cent. On the other hand, energy and finance service rose by 0.66 and 0.03 per cent, respectively.
Major Index gainers were IOC, BPCL, HindPetro, ICICI Bank, Reliance, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC and Tata Motors.
Among the Index losers were M&M, Titan, Dr Reddy, Infratel, SunPharma, Powergrid, Hindalco and SBIN.
The market breadth, indicating its overall health, turned negative, a total of 470 scrips advanced and 1,308 declined, while 86 remained unchanged.
As many as 186 total securities hit their price bands.
Turnover in the cash segment fell to Rs 24,978.06 crore, from Rs 25,095.71 crore as on Wednesday.
A total of 11,130.69 lakhs shares changed hands in 1,02,26,255 trades. The market capitalisation of listed firms on the NSE stood at Rs 1,45,04,009.19 crore.
