Nine held for circulating fake currency notes

Nine persons were arrested here for allegedly circulating fake currency notes, police said today.
Nine persons, including six from Jharkhand, were held from city's Malkajgiri area and a total of 1.50 lakh fake currency notes, all of Rs 1,000 denomination, Rs 20,000 original currency notes and seven cell phones were recovered from them, a press release issued by police said.
Seven others, including an executive of a mobile service provider, are yet to be apprehended in the case.
The accused used to purchase small items from roadside shops, footpaths, tea stalls by paying the fake currency notes, it said.
